Helps On Line

If you are reading this site you will know about the Internet. A good starting point is to join in with your local Astronomical Society. My local club is online at www.horoastronomy.org.nz and there are many similar groups elsewhere.

It’s important to gather basic knowledge and understand the terminology. Don’t be afraid to talk about what you don’t know or understand.

I have been encouraged in my discovery and enjoyment of Astronomy by Dr. Brian Ventrudo who operates as the ‘One Minute Astronomer’. There are very good resources available at:-

I have found this site worthwhile www.starrynighteducation.com There are many very sound groups worth consideration. It’s good to build a list of helpful sites which you trust. Here is one you might enjoy with good “Planet” information www.nasm.si.edu/ceps/etp/etp.htm
